They're Back...!

 It's been almost two years of actual time since the Defenders of Phandalin returned Elturel to the material plane and defeated the demon lord Yeenoghu.  Since then our D&D group has gone on to other adventures with new characters - two full-blown campaigns, and two shorter mini-campaigns.  With the end of the most recent six-session homebrew jaunt our sometimes DM Tristen suggested we dust off our original party, and we were all game - it will be interesting to revisit the Defenders in light of how we have grown and changed as players.  

So with that in mind I figured I should start this blog up again so we can follow along with Almont, Katla, Kent, and Donyxn.  By way of level-setting on our starting point, here is a quick synopsis of our characters.

Almont Bonecrusher is a 14th level male human War Cleric with a bit of a sour attitude.  He serves the war god Kiri-Jolith with a self righteous fury and will not hesitate to smite those he sees as evil.

Katla is a 14th level female elf Wild Magic Sorceress.  Her stoic nature and rational approach makes her the calming influence over the party, but make no mistake - her fire magic is powerful and she will not hesitate to burn her enemies to a crisp.

Kent Karrus is a 14th level male dwarf Phantom Rogue.  The gregarious Kent took a slightly troubling turn when he moved in the phantom direction, his ghost-like abilities and relationship with the dead raising some eyebrows amongst his companions.  But the Defenders are loyal to a fault, and Kent's scimitar sneak attacks continue to be a staple of their collective fighting style.

Donyxn is a 14th level male tiefling Ranger.  Donyxn was transformed when he took possession of the Sword of Zariel.  In addition to being incredibly charismatic, he also now has wings and can take flight.  His constant storytelling is both a source of amusement an annoyance to his friends.
